Received “B” CDP-score in the areas “Climate Change” & “Water Security“
Mitsuboshi Belting Ltd. (Headquarters: Kobe city, Hyogo prefecture) has been received a “B” score from CDP, an international environmental non-profit organization, in the two areas of “Climate Change” and “Water Security”. The “Climate Change” score was improved by two notches compared to last year’s “C” rating.
CDP is an international environmental non-profit organization founded in the United Kingdom in 2000, that tracks the efforts of companies and local governments on environmental issues such as Climate Change, Water Resource Conservation, and Forest conservation, and score and publishes the results on an 8-point scale from “A” to “D-“. This year, we received a score of “B”, which is the third highest score, and we are in the top 25% of the “Wood & Rubber products” group, the category in which we are categorized in terms of “Climate Change”.
We are working to address each ESG issue under the slogan “Contribute to the realization of a sustainable society (increasing in social and economic value)” in our “FY2030 Target Position”. We have set reduction targets for Climate Change and Water Resources as one of the materialities, and are promoting initiatives such as the introduction of renewable energy and cooling water circulation systems.
