Timing belts are synchronized transmission belts that transmit power when the belt and pulley establish teeth meshing. The noise level is – compared to chain and sprocket – lower. Further, the use of timing belts does not require any oiling. Timing belts thus allow a clean and almost maintenance-free operation.
